Why can I read the words but still miss the meaning?
It took me a while to get used to the new schedule.Treat get used to the new schedule as a phrase about adapting. Work out what changed, then listen again instead of studying used on its own.
Start with a familiar topic and clear audio. Use video you already have or can access, and transcribe it when your device supports the task.
Find a line you missed and check the surrounding dialogue. Keep phrases and word combinations together rather than collecting every unfamiliar word.
Ask why get used to is used here or how another expression would change the tone. Cloud AI uses AI credits; check its explanation against the original scene.
After understanding the line, practise its stress, pauses and connected speech. Return to the clip later and try explaining the meaning without subtitles.
An entire episode does not have to become homework. Use one small extract to understand, check, practise and revisit something worth learning.
Recognising a word is different from understanding and using it in a sentence. Let the original material help you check meaning, combinations and purpose.
Podcast listening, local video and audio imports, basic grammar analysis, and supported on-device transcription, translation and repeat-after-me feedback can be explored without cloud AI. Availability depends on your device, client and material's processing state.
